Pastor Anthony M. Goode, Sr. is a native of Raleigh, NC where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age. He is the eldest of three children to the late Ms. Jean C. Goode of Raleigh, N.C. Pastor Goode received his education in the public school system of Raleigh, NC until his family relocated to the Washington, DC area where he continued his education. He earned his bachelor's degree in biblical studies at Andersonville Theological Seminary. Pastor Goode graduated from Shaw University School of Divinity to obtain his master's degree.
He was ordained to the Diaconate Ministry on October 20, 2000, at the New Samaritan Baptist Church of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International (FGBCFI) in Washington, DC. He later accepted the call to preach the Gospel and was licensed on October 17, 2001, also at the New Samaritan Baptist Church, where Bishop Michael V. Kelsey Sr., serves as Senior Pastor. While at New Samaritan he served in the Ministerial Alliance, Deacons Ministry, as an armor bearer for his Bishop, Transportation Ministry, Media Ministry, and Choir. Pastor Goode currently serves in the FGBCFI of the NC Central District under the leadership of Central District Overseer J. Troy Blackwell and Bishop Luther K. Brooks. He also serves as the Director of the People of the FGBCFI Office of Evangelism under the leadership of Bishop W.J. McCalla and State Director for Evangelism. God has blessed him with a committed team comprised of faithful leaders from North Carolina. Just as Pastor Goode, they each have a passion for evangelism.
New Redeem Ministries was founded by Pastor Goode in 2005 as he continued to accept the call of God on his life. Its mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to share the love of God. New Redeem Ministries is an outreach ministry which provides food, clothing, bus passes, and other daily essentials to the homeless and less fortunate. It is committed to making a difference in communities by reaching out to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people. Pastor Goode is married to his high school sweetheart, Teresa Goode. They are blessed with two wonderful and talented children, Anthony Jr. and Tiamber, who both love the Lord.
